  1. I thought this book was entertaining and fun to read but I do have some problems For example the weird Mayan Alien subplot introduced in the second book didn t go anywhere and feels poorly executed The new characters introduced in the beginning felt pointless as they died off and we had no attachment to them Some part they could ve explored was the part with Chisnall under alien captivity One the the book did do well is give a lot of details about technology which was very interesting It was al [...]

  2. A nice ending kind of to a nice trilogy Very well done A small cliff hanger that a good book should end with Ticked all the right boxes for me anyway.

  3. Uhmt really 100% sure what to put here.I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, but am now totally confused. The first part of this story was up to the standard I have expected of the previous 2 novels, but then I got totally lost and confused.New characters, that do not seem to make sense to the story, and not even sure if they are going to be in the next installment. The story has expanded, and I am now totally lost Will I read the 4th installmentunfortunately I would have to say no at this pointG [...]

  4. I think the book is really interesting and has a good plot I would recommend the book to anyone over the age of 10 to read it if they like action, war times, sci fi and a little bit of romance in the story The book tells us that we can do anything we set our mind to do without giving up.

  5. This series does well in my library I had to wait until school was out to get the library copy , but I can never get past the fact that the space aliens have to wait to cross the ice in order to invade Can t they fly Really Good action, nice science fiction facets, and a very easy sell to students If the space aliens ask if they can have just a little bit of Australia, do you say yes NO They will try to take over the whole planet once they have a foothold Looking forward to seeing what Falkner w [...]

  6. As with all the books in this well written series, the author does not fall into the trap of making war look like some heroic exercise in patriotism. With characters drawn from across the globe, the teenagers chosen for combat because they are all small enough to go undercover and infiltrate enemy lines are faced with some horrifying decisions and consequences.

  7. I decided to read this book because it was recommended by my brother.I really liked where it is set because Brian Falkner described the terrain really well.My favorite quote would be when price says don t go all chuck norris on me because he is one of my favorite characters he can be really funny.I realized some people go through lots of things to make the world a better place.

  8. Katharine is a judge for the Sara Douglass Book Series Award This entry is the personal opinion of Katharine herself, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of any judging panel, the judging coordinator or the Aurealis Awards management team I won t be recording my thoughts if I choose to here until after the AA are over.

  9. It s a young adult adventure novel that is well written, but unfortunately lacks depth and sustenance.Four stars for the characters, the writing but the storyline left me cold
