  1. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale so this one drew my interest However there were many awkward sentences and the conversation changed from one setting to another with no warning or separation of paragraphs. The premise of the original fairy tale also added as Debbie noted that of a sleeping beauty with Georgiana asleep for a hundred years But I have to say the reason for the original curse was not very clearly laid out in this version Something about the lady who was taking care of G [...]

  2. This is a Beauty and the Beast variation with a little bit of Sleeping Beauty thrown in for good measure Georgiana is asleep in the Beast s castle and won t awaken until the curse is broken The only PP inspiration is the insertion of Jane Austen s characters into the fairy tale Naturally, Elizabeth Belle is the heroine and is her lovely spunky self She does have 4 sisters, and Jane and Bingley are included in the mix Mr Bennet Papa does have a Mrs Bennet There s a piano in the enchanted castle [...]

  3. Interesting combination of stories or rather characters It was hard to follow sometimes as the conversations hopped from one to another with different people with no warning The most strange was the forward at the end of the book.

  4. I really wanted to like this book, because I love both Pride and Prejudice and Beauty and the Beast However, I was pretty disappointed in what was used to combine the two stories One issue was the many references to movie versions of each story While I enjoy those movies, they are not the original stories and have used creative license to change them I have no problem with creative license, but find some of your own rather than using someone else s I guess you could argue that fan fiction is not [...]

  5. I am a sucker for both PP and Beauty and the Beast so I enjoyed reading this version At times I wondered how it might work, but I felt the finished product came out entertaining There were a few things that came out unfinished or unexplained, but overall I think most will enjoy the simplicity of it.

  6. This novel combines the characters from Pride and Prejudice with the story of Beauty and the Beast Cute short story that is if you like Beauty and the Beast My only complaint was the beasts actions to Elizabeth in her bedroom as Darcy would never act unproperly even if he was a beast.
