  1. Cherry Adair

Always an adventurer in life as well as writing, New York Times best selling author Cherry Adair moved halfway across the globe from Cape Town, South Africa to the United States in her early years to become a interior designer Now a resident of the Pacific Northwest she shares the award winning adventures of her fictional T FLAC counter terrorism operatives with her readers.Cherry settled in beautiful San Francisco, where she started what eventually became a thriving interior design business I loved being a designer because it was varied and creative, and I enjoyed working with the public A voracious reader when she was able to carve out the time, Cherry found her brain crowded with characters and stories of her own Eventually, she says, the stories demanded to be told When asked why she chooses to write romantic action adventure, she says, Who says you can t have adventure and a great love life Of course if you re talking about an adventurous love life, that s another thing altogether I write romantic suspense coupled heart pounding adventure because I like to entertain, and nothing keeps readers happier than a rollercoaster read, followed by a happy ending Popular on the workshop circuit, Cherry gives lively classes on writing and the writing life Pulling no punches when asked how to become a published writer, Cherry insists, Sit your butt in the chair and write There s no magic to it Writing is hard work It isn t for sissies or whiners Cherry loves to spend time at home A corner desk keeps her focused on writing, but the windows behind her, with a panoramic view of the front gardens, are always calling her to come outside and play Her office has nine foot ceilings, a fireplace, a television and built in bookcases that will house approximately 3,500 paperback books What can I say My keeper shelf has been breeding in the middle of the night, rather like drycleaners wire clothes hangers.

  1. This was my first T FLAC book I know, I know What kind of idiot would start with the 11th book in a series Well, see, it s like this my library had a book sale I bought it in hardback for 50 cents How could I pass that up Then I decided with 700 books on my TBR list, I didn t have the time or money to buy and read the first 10 books Now, what I m wondering is whereas I thoroughly enjoyed this book and gave it 5 stars, and whereas several people whose reviews I trust implicity gave this one 4 sta [...]

  2. My first book by this author It made my head spin, but in a good way Tons of twists and turns More sex than I have ever read in a book FBI, Secret Ops, murder, art, and so much .

  3. One year ago Emily lost her heart to love em and leave em Max So when he turns up at her doorstep to proclaim his father and Emily s mentor has been murdered and Emily s life is at risk and he trusts no one but himself to personally see to her safety, she is of course first furious, then saddened by his father s death and then scared out of her mind He walked away from their love and now he wants to just show up unannounced and protect her No way Trusting this man with her heart had her in tears [...]

  4. 4.75stars for meHow long does it take to get over what might be love Well at least 11 months, 3 weeks and 1 day Just ask art restorer Emily Greene That was the last time Emily saw T FLAC Operative Max Aries When he finally answered a summons from her and helped save her from being burgled she remembered exactly how she felt, the last time she saw him and how much she d need to protect her heart this time This intricate story has Max and his team providing protection for Emily as they try to figu [...]

  5. It s my first T FLAC book and I loved it Why Because it has the perfect combination of action and romance. It started with a bang and ended with a bang Emily is a very stubborn but likable woman She lives alone in Italy and has been a pawn t a hideous terrorist plan she wasn t aware of She s feisty but lovable She isn t a damsel in distress that expects Max to always save her Max was the son of Emily s mentor, Daniel He s a T FLAC operative and hated his father He and Emily had a romantic rendezv [...]

  6. One star is two too many I couldn t even finish it There are pages of her wondering if he can be trusted should she sleep with him should she have slept with him can she count on him she wants her new boyfriend, but even after six months she hasn t slept with him is she cheating him since she can t care as much as the one she is worrying can she trust and on and on and on.There are pages of him wondering why he is jealous when the end justifies the means, no harm, no foul when he slept with her, [...]

  7. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this book Parts of it were kinda cheesy but didn t detract from the story or characters Max irritated me a bit sometimes he d mention how he had no problem just up and leaving Emily the first time but then at other times would mention how hard it was to leave her that time Considering this is the first book in the series I ve read, I think the author did a good job of giving me the rundown on who and what T FLAC was without boring me to tears I th [...]

  8. Max yeah the typical special forces T FLAC man had an indifferent, self centered cheating father who left them when he was 10, has sworn off long term relationships they don t fit into his lifestyle Emily unknown father, a ex model, needy, once beautiful addict mother at age of 11, whe meets Daniel Max s father an artist, and she manages to get him and her mother agree to take her on as an apprentice, and he paid for her to live in a boarding school in Italy and art schools she excells at restor [...]

  9. Not as good as the others, but still lots of action and was defintely good.Professional art restorer Emily Greene is in no mood to see the devil may care Max Aries She hasn t forgotten or forgiven the way Max dropped into her life a year ago, stole her heart, then vanished without a word Max hadn t kept in touch with his father, Daniel, either Daniel Aries had been a master of art restoration and reproduction, and not only Emily s longtime mentor, but a trusted friend His unexpected suicide deva [...]

  10. Review Your mission, should you decide to read it, is to have a few hours adrenaline pumped excitement and sizzling romance with the new T FLAC suspense by Cherry Adair T FLAC operative Max Aries returns to Italy at the request of an old lover and because his estranged father death leaves Max with a lot of unanswered questions Emily Greene is an art restorer and it was Max s father that took her under his wings to teach her this trade She met Max a year before through his father and shared sever [...]

  11. Cherry Adair has always been hit or miss with me So far I ve read 8 of her books including this one and four were 4 star reads In Too Deep, Out of Sight, Kiss and Tell and Hide and Seek and four were 3 star reads Edge of Danger, Night Fall, Dare Me and this one I think the problem with this one was that I just couldn t connect with either Emily or Max I didn t really like either character and throw in art which I don t know anything about and terrorists which I hate , it just didn t do it for me [...]

  12. Sleeping with Max Aries was a mistake Falling for Max Aries was a bigger mistake Letting him back in her life was a mistake Emily Greene was not about to let happen.Emily called and left multiple messages for Max to contact her after his father died but being a T FLAC agent, and the fact he harbored no love for his father, made it difficult for Max to get to Europe in a decent amount of time. When Max does get to Emily s apartment it s during the middle of the night, he breaks in, and saves Emily [...]

  13. Never have the stakes been higher Never have two people faced greater risks or grappled with deeper desire Never has Cherry Adair 13award winning author of Hot Ice 13burned the pages with so much blazing action and blistering passion Professional art restorer Emily Greene is in no mood to see the devil may care Max Aries She hasn 19t forgotten 13or forgiven 13the way Max dropped into her life a year ago, stole her heart, then vanished without a word Max hadn 19t kept in touch with his father, Da [...]

  14. Cherry Adair has a way of sucking you right into her books, and White Heat is no different Fast paced, strong male character Max is an Alpha male who thinks he is impervious to love, while Emily she is no simpering female is the perfect foil for him.I hate reviews that give away than the synopsis on the back of the book lets just say that this is another wonderful work by Cherry Its fast paced, her descriptions make you believe that you are right there with the characters, and she makes you ach [...]

  15. The book starts off with a bang and holds your interest for the duration of the story The plot is original and although it is slightly unbelievable it is still fun to read Max Aries is one sexy hunk of man flesh Max and Emily s chemistry and their love scenes did fall a little flat for me It seemed Emily had to be constantly rescued I also thought that some of Max s inner monologue regarding Emily was rather cheesy but hey.he s still hot I wished the situation with Savage had been handled direc [...]

  16. Intense suspense Max Aries is a TFLAC operator whose personal are professional lives has just joined Emily Greene is an art restorer in Florence and was protege to Max s father When Daniel Aries dies, Max discovers that his and Emily s art works are being blown up in religious building around the world by the Black Rose terrorist group Max has been hunting The race is on to prevent further bombings and save Emily s life A little gory at times with a high body count, but fast paced and well done [...]

  17. I ve enjoyed all the T Flac books I ve read so far I ve skipped the paranormal ones at this point, but read all the others I loved Hot Ice the book that preceded White Heat and was so looking forward to Max s book Unfortunately, it fell short for me I didn t understand Max s inability to commit, considering how many other T Flac operatives have already gotten together before him, and considering how encouraging he was to St John in the previous book Emily came off as shrewish to me at times, and [...]

  18. Cherry Adair delivers this action packed and suspenseful story with fantastic plot twist I never saw coming This book certainly lived up to the hype with these likable protagonists I found the whole story very compelling and I m happy I picked up this one.The story started off very well and it grabbed me from the first chapter As soon as Max and Emily met, I could feel the sexual tension between them instantly, and it grew even intense as I read further into the story White Heat is a wonderful [...]

  19. I haven t been a fan of Adair and thought her T FLAC books poorly written despite my being such an action romance junkie I decided to buy Hot Ice last year and found it better than the other T FLAC books so I bought White Heat expecting Adair s latest would be as good, at least I was wrong and found nothing to hold my attention in White Heat Emily was unattractive and Max Arieswell, I really expected much from a T FLAC hero White Heat came across surprisingly amateurish in tone too much repetit [...]

  20. This book is full of action, mystery, art and passion Emily is an art restorer living in Italy when her mentor is killed and her own life becomes threatened Her once lover, son of her mentor and secret member of TFLAC, Max, shows up to protect her and figure out what s going on Emily is reluctant to listen to Max because her heart is still broken from the first time he left her, but ultimately she has to in order to stay alive In a short time Emily and Max realize that they can no longer deny th [...]

  21. The book of Max Aries and Emily Greene should really be read after Hot Ice Max is a T Flac Agent and he is visiting Emily after the many messages she has left on his phone that his father has died When he gets to her flat he finds her place has been broken into Emily konks him thinking him the accompliance of the man she has already knocked out After Crossing Europe to America back to T Flac Headquarters after many attempts at Emily s life The Black Rose Terror Cell will finally make things diff [...]

  22. White Heat is a followup to Cherry Adair s Hot Ice TFLAC novel and was sexy, fun and dangerous Big bad TFLAC operative Max Aries tries so hard not to fall for art restorer Emily Greene, but you know the bigger they are the harder they fall They are thrown together when someone breaks into Emily s home and tries to kill her and Max is there to save her, which is only the beginning of a series of crazy connections that all makes sense in the end and has your heart nearly stopping near the end Love [...]

  23. I enjoyed the heck out of this book This was my first Cherry Adair book and I plan to go back and read her earlier books in this series Right now, this is her latest in the T FLAC series. This book has goos suspense, action, romance, terrorist, secret organization s , bloody and gory at times, art history and it was funny in places The author had some great one liners And the party was on The book setting isItaly, a tad in Spain the United States, too.EnjoyBig thumbs up from This Reader

  24. This is book 11 in the T FLAC series and book 1 in the Black Rose Trilogy sub series This book wasn t bad, it just wasn t what I want out of a book On the other hand, Cherry Adair s T FLAC Psi Ops books are JUST what I want out of a book The Psi Ops ones are the paranormal ones and the others aren t This book had action, adventure, romance, sex, and intrigue but no paranormal elements The lack of paranormal was the deal breaker for me I think I m done with TFLAC.

  25. Good to read at againIt is my second time reading White Heat and it was wonderful reading a book from Cherry Adair again I have always liked reading her books and they usually kept me quite enraptured right through to the end The only bad thing is that there is usually so many deaths, usually hundreds of people being killed by villains in bombings or something somewhere It was nice again reading about T FLAC operatives.

  26. This book is a little over 300 pages long The first 200 was the two main characters wondering if they were right for each other, or actually testing if they wanted to be together in a romantic way The last 100 pages was all the action and a really exciting conclusion to the main plot From what I read about the book before I read it it looked like a good suspense story, but it turned out to be of a romantic suspense story I ll pass on any other Cherry Adair books.

  27. An ongoing book about an anti terrorist group called T FLAC Lots of action and romance You will probably figure out the bad guy before the denouement I ve read all the previous books by Cherry Adair and recommend all of them If you like Suzanne Brockmann, you will enjoy this author I do think Suzanne Brockmann is the leader in this genre, however.

  28. This was a different book to read I love Cherry Adairs work, and usually do not have to read several chapters before catching on to the storyline Once I got there I could not put it down A basic good guy out catching the bad guys all his life until he meets that one woman and the strggles that go along with the good against the bad guys I really like it.

  29. I thought this book was going to be an action adventure with a romantic subplot It turned out to be the reverse, which was fine by me but not quite what I was looking for something to read in a friend s living room while on vacation .Not bad for a romance novel, I d happily read another Cherry Adair again.
