  1. I don t understand why this has got so many bad reviews I reeally enjoyed it, found it entertaining, easy to read and loved the characters I definitely want to read by Zoe

  2. Hannah Atkins has somehow managed to bluff her way to beauty editor at Gloss magazine and can t believe her luck Just as she s learning the ropes in her new job she reads in the gossip pages of a local paper that her boyfriend Jesse is cheating on her with a weather girl Things get worse when Hannah finds herself dumped By text Vowing to claw back some dignity and show Jesse what he s missing, Hannah vows to look and act fabulous 24 7 as well as steering clear of men who are unsuitable As Hannah [...]

  3. It s a pretty hefty book for such a shallow topic and I m really amazed that I ve finished it Perfect if you want an airy fairy beach read.

  4. Easy to read romance I would have liked Dec and Hannah to get together a lot sooner I found the relationship dramas of Han carried on a bit too long.

  5. I always like Zoe s books, but I felt like this one ended a little abruptly Did Hannah and Dec end up together in the end A great read though like all of Zoe s other books

  6. Zoe Foster is one of my favourite chick lit authors and not just because she has an adorable baby and is married to the hilarious Hamish Blake which means that in real life she must also have a wicked sense of humour So while I ve read her newer stuff, I thought I d delve into the ol Zoe Foster archives and try out her very first novel, Air Kisses.Told from the perspective of Hannah love when characters have the same name as me , a newly hired beauty editor who has no idea about makeup, Air Kiss [...]

  7. Is love really important than lip gloss Hannah Atkins the girl most likely to be sporting streaky fake tan and a wobbly trail of liquid eyeliner has bluffed her way into the position of beauty editor at Gloss magazine Just as she s carving a path into the gorgeous world of guerrilla air kisses, she reads about her boyfriend and another girl in the gossip pages of the local newspaper Then she gets dumped By text.Vowing to claw back some dignity and make her ex regret what he s done, Hannah adopt [...]

  8. A great feel good chick lit novel set in the beauty world.Hannah is flailing after the demise of her relationship with the philandering Jesse but thankfully with the aid of her best friend Iz, Declan, Iz s brother who Hannah has always had a crush on and other numerous friends to advise her she finally gets her life sort of on track but just seems to fall from one disastrous relationship to the next. Can she finally stop the endless and self destructive flings with inappropriate men that treat he [...]

  9. Considering that this book was vying for attention with my new iphone gadget, I think it did well to pull me in and keep me reading I had low expectations of this book and bought it with someone else in mind but decided to read it first, and surprise surprise, I liked it It was light, chick lit Boyfriend troubles and work woes It put me in mind of my hairdressing days and how easy it is to become obsessed with the ritual of beautifying ourselves However no heavy moral of the story for this one, [...]

  10. I always have a book with me to read on public transport and this book was perfect for that Not a heavy read, but it kept me interested and entertained all the way through It s a bit of a rip off of Bridget Jones, but none the worse for that As someone else commented, the beauty tips are the best part The minx tip from chapter 10 works a treat

  11. I now have a new dream job being a beauty editor receiving boxes of new free makeup every day going to functions being given free food alcohol gifts Given that the author realy was the beauty editor of an Australian magazine I wonder how much really happened how much is fiction A light hearted Devil Wears Prada.

  12. I m not a huge fan of chick lit so this book didn t thrill me There were some funny moments, but overall I felt the story dragged and I didn t really care about any of the characters Air Kisses offers a sneak peek into the world of women s magazines, from the point of view of a beauty editor with serious relationship issues.

  13. Air KissesI thought this book was really funny with relatable characters Kept me thoroughly entertaining throughout the entire book Great for a light read

  14. This book was a delight to read All about a beauty editor from Australia This book details her adventures in writing for a glossy magazine and her dealings with boys along the way I recommend this book to anyone who loves Chick Lit and a laugh

  15. 3.5as usual Zoo s writing was a funny and easy to read romance This one had been my fav so far since I love everything beauty and fashion My criticism is that the ending way way too sudden I felt as if my book was missing pages All of her books need at least 3 concluding chaps or epilogues

  16. Hannah exists in a parallel reality to the one I inhabit, one filled with makeup, totally superficial parties and dickhead boyfriends, all described in decent prose I read with a kind horrified fascination, talk about escaping from reality.

  17. 3.5A fun, light and happy read The main character, Hannah, was delightful, warm and funny. The beauty tips at the beginning of each chapter was fab, great for anyone who loves make up a nice touch.

  18. This is a book is one my daughter gave me to read on a recent visit, it is not the sort of book I would choose to read, the reason for 3 stars, but I have to admit it helped me understand her chosen career path and the highs and lows of it, I did enjoy the lighthearted humour behind it.

  19. Read it in a day Light easy read and no depth to it I d love to see the author portray a realistic setting instead of the fluff she gave She s generally a great writer she could have done better.

  20. I d like to give this book 3.5 stars, but since I can t, I rounded up It s was a quick read for me since I was hooked It s easy to like Hannah Atkins and cheer her on as she grows through a breakup and then gets back on her feet.

  21. I really enjoyed this It does make me wish I knew about makeup though, which may have been her plan all along so I would buy her amazing er face books Is this a conspiracy Probably not But I can t wait to read of her books

  22. I wanted a light book that required no thinking and thats what i got Must note that i thought the authors use of dusty as a description for a hangover was gravely inappropriate.

  23. Not my normal style of book but i found i couldn t put this down It has a interesting, light story line If your looking for a light summer read for beside the pool this is the one.
