  1. The Silurians return in this interesting concept of the Doctor meeting Darwin and guiding him a little on the evolution of man , But Darwin meeting the Silurians throws his ideas out the water 6 10

  2. This was quite a good story and a strong story for the Silurians in which is their only audio appearance sadly In which is a real shame as they work very well in audio The story itself is interesting and i quite enjoyed it I recommend this story to all Silurian fans.I give it a 8 10

  3. Always nice to hear the Silurians That was the big draw for me as I really like them as villains The evolution themes were nice at the beginning, but the big and obvious twist toward the end left me a bit sad that they went there The Silurians actually have an interesting and nefarious plot, but I thought episode three was a bit of a stretch and all the running around was kind of unnecessary.Always love the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn, though they spend most of this story apart Charles Darwin and th [...]

  4. I really really enjoyed listening to this I must have looked like an idiot while listening, I had a goofy grin the whole time because it was so funny The Doctor s horrible puns were just amazing I also enjoy when the Doctor has smart companions and Evelyn was definitely one of those, not once did she scream DOCTOR like so many of the others do when they get into trouble The story was fun too, although I need to watch Classic Who because the Silurians weren t anything like those from the new ser [...]

  5. Enjoyable 6th Doctor and Evelyn Smythe story love the meetup with Charles Darwin in the Galapagos I was happy to see a Silurians story too not that I don t love the Daleks and Cybermen, but sometimes some of the other classic monsters get forgotten about I did think the story was a bit daring though almost to the point of being out of character for the series , you don t see a lot of direct talk about God in Doctor Who, but the story had the double whammy of Darwin s conversations, and the surpr [...]

  6. The Doctor takes Evelyn to meet a young Charles Darwin as a treat Everything seems to be going well, apart from the fact that people are going missing And the silurians are awake. This is a very enjoyable story, Evelyn is really loving the travel and it shows The silurians are as well portrayed as their tv counterparts, and are still an honourable species It get interesting with having the theme of evolution all the way through, about whether it exists and how important it can be The Doctor gets [...]

  7. Silurians were always an awesome idea, but other than Doctor Who and The Silurians, I never have really enjoyed any of their episodes too much, but this one definitely was one of the best The wonderful setting and creepy and odd soundtrack really helped out a whole lot I also enjoyed the one off companion of Gretel, it was quite tragic, but certainly interesting The only problems I really had was that one of the cliffhangers was rather weak episode 3 and SPOILER i can t even think of the Myrka w [...]

  8. Glorious, glorious Sixth Doctor and Evelyn meet up with Charles Darwin and Captain Fitzroy on the Galapagos Islands, and how utterly appropriate meet up with the Silurians No doubt the play s account of Darwin s inner dialogue with himself, as brilliantly portrayed by Miles Richardson, would fail to pass muster with real experts but you don t expect utter historical accuracy in something like this Evelyn and Six continue to be a great pairing, and the Silurians with their inner conflicts and bet [...]

  9. I was initially not impressed by the Doctor meets Darwin premise and a bit of overacting in the early courtroom scene However, the story won me over there s something very charming about the pairing of Darwin and Evelyn and the way he works through his ideas about evolution with her And there are a few interesting plot surprises in what might otherwise have been a very standard Silurians story.

  11. I love the Silurians, I love Evelyn, I love Sixie, and I quite like that Darwin fellow I expected to enjoy this story than I eventually did.Seems that writing a brilliant Silurian story is quite hard Bloodtide is mostly solid, definitely not a bad story I just wanted it to be so much better

  12. The story elements are a bit familiar of course, I realized shortly after starting that I had in fact listened to this a few years ago, but it was the same way the first time , and two minor characters have truly lamentable accents, but Evelyn and the Sixth Doctor are fantastic together, and I enjoyed hearing Darwin struggle with making sense of his discoveries Very entertaining.

  13. Evelyn was okay, Darwin was not Especially in the first episode I m not a supporter of neo Darwinism anyway, and a story with the basic arc of will Darwin get over his religious scruples and become the first modern scientist and Silurians did not attract me at all.

  14. 4.5Catching up on the 6 Evelyn stories I haven t heard Wonderful story with Charles Darwin, and Evelyn and the Doctor are both in fine form Good to meet up with the Silurians again, but losing one star for the horrible accents of a couple of the Spanish characters.

  15. Sixth Doctor and Dr Evelyn Smythe show up in the Galapagos Islands to meet Charles Darwin, but instead wind up in a Spanish settlement where the Governor s main passion seems to be putting people in a cliff prison so they will be eaten by Silurians The Doctor puts a stop to this.

  16. Fantastic adventure with the Silurians as the stars Full of intregue and suspense Hope they will be in audio adventures.

  17. I expected from this story though can t say I didn t enjoy it Sixy, Smythe and the Silurians are a great combination

  18. The Sixth Doctor and Evelyn meet Charles Darwin on the Galapagos Islands where an awakening group of Silurians have horrifying plans for mankind.
