  2. 4.5 stars The first half of the story was so engrossing that multiple times I found myself gasping aloud Rich descriptions and well developed characters made the story vivid and engaging The pace began to lag at the halfway point, and there are some editing and tense time usage issues that bothered me, but overall this is a well crafted and well researched read I look forward to the next book.
